With steady progress on this spectacular build on Leadwood Big Game Estate, I was trying to capture the complexity of this design as well as the breath taking views.  On an over cast and very windy day,  I eventually decided to be courageous and climb up onto the roof to take some photos.  Nerve wrecking but it was worth it.  The design of this home consists of 32 structural beams and concrete roof slabs over certain sections to accommodate for the large extra high door and window openings.  There is no doubt that the architect has ensured that these beautiful views of the Drakensberg mountain range hang like a picture in front of this house.
